Fluorescein Angiography Lecture and Hands on Workshop

This course will provide the participants with an overview of the basic anatomy of the fundus of the eye. An understanding of the basic terminology utilized in the clinical interpretation of retinal fluorescein angiography, the major indications for fluorescein angiography, contraindications, adverse reactions and how to manage them, discuss the fluorescein angiography technique, and discuss the Medicolegal implications of fluorescein angiography. The AAO video entitled Fluorescein Angiography will be shown. The proper photographic sequencing and phases, and clinical applications for the test will be discussed. (Please Note: The hands-on workshop will mock a fluorescein angiography session and will be scheduled in the last hour of the course. A live fluorescein angiography session will only be scheduled if a physician is available and a patient gives consent. The live session works well when this seminar is brought to your office.)

    fluorescein angiography interpretation.

4. List the possible adverse reactions to fluorescein and describe their
    management.
5. Describe the fluorescein angiography technique.

    performing a fluorescein angiogram
